By Bus From Dublin Airport:

By Bus from Castlebar and Westport:

The 440 bus goes from Knock Airport via Castlebar, Westport and Newport all the way to Keel and Dooagh on Achill.

By Train from Dublin to Castlebar or Westport:

The closest railway stations are in Castlebar (65kms) from Achill, and Westport (45kms) from Achill.

By Bike:

You can avail of the Great Western Greenway and cycle from Westport or Newport to Achill Sound and then continue on the three available cycling hubs around the island. In 2015 Greenway will be extended to Keel, a village in the centre of the island, via safe cycling tracks through the bog.
